Non-Executive Role

Stephen is passionate about placemaking, and the important role that tangible and intangible cultural assets play.  He has strong skills in advocacy, promotion, networking and fund raising.  At the same time, he has a good understanding of Board governance, trustee management and is able to provide strong strategic leadership and support to executive teams.

Stephen was a trustee and chair of the audit committee of The Prince’s Regeneration Trust (PRT) and its sister charity, The United Kingdom Buildings Preservation Trust (UKHBPT),  from 1996 to 2017.  PRT specialised in the restoration of heritage buildings at risk, in areas where the creation of a new life and purpose will have a beneficial effect on the local community.
