Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium Redevelopment

Overview: EARTH carried out an outline review of the scheme for the Council, which included due diligence of scheme assumptions, a review of the operator business plan, identifying opportunities, liabilities and risks, lease structure and planning condition reviews, to ensure best consideration for the Council. This review highlighting matters relevant to the stadium and scheme delivery that needed to be negotiated and agreed in the Section 106 Agreement and set out the delivery risks that needed to be negotiated between the Council, developer and football club.

EARTH liaised with the Council, football club, developer and their project teams, to strategically deliver the project.

Scheme:

  • New 11,000 seat capacity football stadium for AFC Wimbledon with hospitality space, crèche and café
  • Squash and fitness club
  • Circa 18,000 sqft of commercial space
  • 604 new homes
  • Planning approval secured in 2017
