South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust / Springfield JV, have set out an ambitious programme to regenerate Springfield Hospital, putting the patient experience at the heart of their service strategy and releasing significant surplus land and buildings for private sector redevelopment, principally for residential use.
This release will provide significant funding in a new way to provide community-based health premises within a new residential community, and using the estate in both a more commercial and creative way.
EARTH advised the Trust Board on the investment objectives and benefits of the project prior to the planning appeal in December 2010.
EARTH also advised on the commercial case and private sector partners regarding its robustness and financial viability. Since 2016, EARTH have been advising a private sector partner, Springfield JV (VINCI PLC & Notting Hill Housing Association), to deliver the new facilities and capital receipts.
